History
Mark grew up in St. Charles, Missouri, where he attended Duchesne High School. He earned his bachelor's degree in political science and philosophy from the University of Missouri-St. Louis and his law degree from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.
Mark started his legal career in Jefferson County in 1996 as an Assistant Public Defender. From 1997 to 2007, Mark served as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney with the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney's Office. During that time Mark was lead counsel in numerous jury trials for cases ranging from misdemeanors to murder in the first degree. He also prosecuted numerous vehicular homicide and vehicular assault cases.
In February 2007 he became an associate trial attorney with the firm in Hillsboro. During his tenure with the firm, Mark has represented individuals as well as public agencies and has handled cases involving personal injury, estate planning, construction/contractor lawsuits, and criminal defense/traffic matters. He has been lead counsel in several jury trials in Jefferson, Franklin and St. Francois County with much success.
Community service has always been important to Mark. He was twice elected to the Windsor School Board and served on the Jefferson County Library Board of Directors and the Jefferson County YMCA Board of Advisors. Currently, Mark serves on the Parish Council of Our Lady's Parish in Festus, Missouri and is a member of the Twin City Chamber of Commerce, the Festus-Crystal City Kiwanis Club, and the Festus-Crystal City Rotary Club.
Mark and his wife Rebecca, live in Festus with their four sons.
